3M fit testing materials and procedures provide a simple, direct way to meet OSHA's qualitative fit testing requirements. 3M fit Test products can be used with any particulate or gas/vapor respirator with a particulate filter to Test face-to-respirator seal. The equipment helps satisfy respirator program requirements and is easy to use during respirator training. The fit Test works by spraying a sweet or bitter solution into the hood environment. If the wearer does not detect the Test agent's taste, an acceptable fit has been demonstrated.
